Ski Roundtop Instructor Facts

  1. Beginner Lessons are the backbone of our program
    • Keep students safe and smiling (safety, fun, learning)
    • Hard work
    • Have a good time
    • Most satisfying lesson

  2. The instructor trainees must:
    • Complete Safety/Risk management training
    • Complete three (3) additional hours of training
    • Shadow at least three (3) lessons
    • Teach at least one (1) lesson with a trainer.

  3. All Roundtop Mountain Resort instructors must:
    • Meet their line-up schedule
    • Full-time: twenty (20) points/wk.
    • Part-time: eight (8) points/wk.
    • Meet all training requirements (minimum 5 clinics)
    • Training is readily available
    • Teaching all levels
    • Personal skiing/riding
    • PSIA/AASI certification preparation
    • Abide by the rules and guide lines described in the area and snowsports handbooks
